The Lake County Jail Addition contains 384 beds in 240 new steel cells. The 120,000 new square feet addition also included a new intake and processing center with 80 beds, and program areas, including classrooms, a law library, and indoor and outdoor recreation areas.The project doubled the capacity of the existing Lake County Jail. The prefabricated steel cell and mezzanine system blends easily with the conventionally constructed aspects of the building.
